Multi-Vendor Messaging

The next generation in telematics has resulted in several companies that offer in-cab communications, and truckload carriers are making selections for their specific needs. As this technology continues to progress, it’s important for these carriers to leverage an application that can meet their communication needs with their new vendors while also still being able to communicate with older existing providers. To solve this challenge, Add On Systems has created Multi-Vendor Messaging (MVM). MVM can handle multiple telematics vendors including phone apps( like Eleos mobile app).

This AOS application leverages telematics to provide a single source for all correspondence with drivers regardless of the hardware (or lack thereof) in the truck they’re operating. Carriers can send forms or messages to the drivers through one application, and the system normalizes the data for the user. A vendor ID field allows the user to see who the hardware provider is for full transparency.

AOS Multi-Vendor Messaging offers several customization options. Messages can be filtered by status or viewed all at once. Messaging capabilities can be extended to any fleet, or be limited to just your own fleet by using the authority setting. This AOS messaging tool also enables more flexibility with driver broadcast messages – allowing messages to be sent to all units, owner units, company units, and/or driver managers with a “Normal” or “Urgent” priority ranking.

Reduce labor time and duplicate work with the “Carbon Copy” feature to forward the same message to another group, rather than having to go manually copy messages that need to be shared with more than one driver. You can also display the “Last Seen History” message to make sure you’re up-to-date on the latest messages without having to search or use multiple applications.
