The system uses existing telematic communications positions from the last eight days of the driver, and the VHOS with Projections is updated each time a position reading or HOS update is received. With this planning software, the driver HOS data displays on the operations screens (Fleet Manager, Planning Services, and Order Services) for easy viewing and access. The data stays current as it never gets older than approximately 15 minutes. The system includes detail and summary of the last eight days of hours, miles and MPH as well as driving patters for each individual driver.
The VHOS with Projections system looks at the driver’s current load, and optimal pre-planned load if applicable, and projects a driving pattern to deliver the load without incurring any hours of service violations – and can handle single and team operations.
