Out of Route Alerts

Merge Out of Route monitoring and Estimated Time of Arrival monitoring into a single application with Route Monitoring for the iSeries, RMi. This system provides real-time notification when drivers are out of route or have ETA concerns. Break messages or normal messages are sent to notify users to make necessary adjustments before changes get too costly.

For Out of Route monitoring, as soon as a unit is dispatched a snapshot of the planned route is taken to determine exactly how far each location in the route is and how long it will take to get there. The unit is then tracked against the planned route, and if at any point the system determines that the unit will have to travel more miles than planned, users are notified that the unit is out of route.

For Estimated Time of Arrival monitoring, as soon as a unit is dispatched the route is checked to determine if the driver will be able to make all stops within the appointment windows. If the driver will not be able to do so, users are notified to make the necessary adjustments. Once the unit is underway, the date and time of when the unit will arrive at each stop is projected based on a variety of factors such as distance and driver hours. If the system determines that the projection of when the unit will arrive is beyond the appointment window, users are notified to correct the situation.

Some benefits you can expect to see when you use the AOS RMi System include increased revenue and reduced cost, better customer service planning, reduced service failures, improved tractor utilization, improved driver utilization of available driving hours, and improved driver efficiency.
