Trailer Control/Alert

Better utilize and manage your trailers with our Trailer Monitoring and Management, TMMi, system. Coupled with one or more of the Untethered Trailer Tracking systems (UTT), it’s an incredibly powerful tool. We provide the middleware to shift the data from the vendor site, or “web services,” to the iSeries system which is tied to the host dispatch and tractor telematics system – making tracking a trailer, whether it be for usage, location, history or status, a breeze.

We’ve developed the reefer application that draws the data from the untethered trailer tracking UTT vendor. Some of the functionality includes monitoring of fuel levels in the reefer tank and reefer status, comparison of actual temperatures with those in the order file to help ensure the product is not out of range of the settings, communications to operations personnel and drivers to alert them to problems, and two-way communication.

The TMMi system’s sub-modules offer several different functionalities and benefits. The Trailer Control sub-module interconnects the UTT vendor’s data, the host dispatch system, and the carrier’s telematics provider’s data – allowing you to easily track and monitor trailers at every stage with multiple searches and mapping. Monitor UTT, dispatch and telematics data for inconsistencies with the Trailer Alerts sub-module. With exception based rules, appropriate personnel are alerted for action. Eliminate and identify excessive pools sizes with the Trailer Pools sub-module. Handle geo-fencing from your iSeries terminal with two-way communications with commands to the UTT control center enabled by the Trailer Security sub-module. Analyze trailer issues and utilization with the reporting capabilities of the Trailer Utilization sub-module. Eliminate the need to enter data twice with the Trailer Integration sub-module, which updates the host dispatch database based on configuration values. Trailer Detention sub-module provides Support notifications, monitoring, billing and collection with our rules-based, real-time data collection system – the Trailer Detention (TDi) sub-module. Lastly, eliminate the need to search the UTT vendor’s web services for trailer information with the Communications Layer sub-module. Carriers that integrate their trailer data into their host dispatch system see a faster ROI.

“We utilize SkyBitz trailer tracking with your TMMi suite, which includes Trailer Control/Alerts and Trailer Detention. CalArk realized a four month Return on Investment on Add On’s TMMi system… We would recommend the Add On Systems Trailer Monitoring and Management software to other carriers using untethered trailer tracking devices.” –Matt Braslavsky, Director of IT, CalArk
